What being a struggling founder taught me about DMs
Cold messages felt like shouting into the void. I built xAutoDM because no one should have to feel invisible when reaching out.
Hey friiieenndd👋
This one's a bit personal. Hope you don’t mind.
A few months ago, I was deep in the grind.
Sending cold DMs every day to startups, agencies, and people I admired.
Pouring hours into every message. Tailoring every line. Double-checking. Hoping.
And still... silence.
At some point, it started feeling less like "reaching out" and more like "throwing a bottle into the ocean." 🌊
You start to wonder Is it me?
The way I wrote it? The time I sent it?
Or am I just invisible?
It was brutal.
Not because of rejection, you can handle "no."
It was the nothingness that hurt.
The feeling that you didn’t even exist on the other side.
That’s when the real shift happened for me.
I realized it’s not that people don’t care.
It’s that nobody has time, and your message has to punch through that noise fast ⚡
So instead of getting bitter, I got building.
xAutoDM started with a simple thought
What if sending DMs could feel less like begging for attention and more like building real conversations from the start?
No spam. No blasts. No cringe templates.
Just real, thoughtful outreach at a scale that’s actually humanly impossible otherwise.
Since then, I’ve seen DMs that once got ghosted now spark real responses.
Conversations. Deals. Friendships even 🤝
If you’ve ever felt like I did, shouting into the void,
I just want to say it’s not you.
You’re not invisible.
You just need a way to make your first words land like a person, not a bot.
I'm still building.
Still learning.
Still failing sometimes.
But if I can help even one more founder not feel alone in their outreach journey,
it’s worth it.
Catch you soon,
Piyushh (Founder, xAutoDM) 🚀
